Japan-Germany Joint Symposium “The 70th Anniversary of the End of World War II – A New Prospect for Peace and Democracy in Japan and Germany”

On this symposium, politicians, diplomats, scholars and representatives of civil society in Europe and East Asia discuss a range of topics, including perspectives on reconciliation, the relation between dealing with the past and regional security, the meaning of the commemorations of the 70th anniversary of the end of the war for international relations in both world regions, as well as the state of democracy in Japan and Germany.
