Die bedeutendste Naturschutz Auszeichnung Bayerns wird am 09.03.2025 in Nürnberg an Frau Ruiko Muto für ihren Einsatz gegen Atomkraft in Japan verliehen.
Der Bayerische Naturschutzpreis ist die höchste Auszeichnung des BUND Naturschutz in Bayern e.V. Am 9. März 2025 wird dieser Preis an die japanische Atomkraftgegnerin Ruiko Muto verliehen.
Wir laden Sie herzlich ein dabei zu sein am 9. März 2025 um 11:00 in den Design Offices, Bahnhofstr. 2-4, 90402 Nürnberg in unmittelbarer Nähe des Hauptbahnhofes. Die Veranstaltung wird von dem Bund Naturschutz in Bayern e.V. in Zusammenarbeit mit den Friends of the Earth Japan und der Friedrich Ebert Stiftung organisiert.
Die Preisträgerin wird per Video zugeschaltet und bekommt zeitgleich von unseren japanischen Kolleginnen und Kollegen den Preis im Rahmen einer kleinen Feierstunde in Japan überreicht. Aus diesem Anlass handelt es sich um eine hybride Festveranstaltung. Daher können auch Sie sich gerne online zuschalten.

Das Meeting wird wie gewohnt mit einem Warteraum stattfinden, in dem die Teilnehmer nacheinander hereingelassen werden.
Zu Beginn des Meetings haben die Teilnehmer die Möglichkeit, ihre Sprache über den Dolmetscher-Button auszuwählen. Wenn dies nicht geschieht, hören sie beide Sprachen.

PREISTRÄGERIN Frau Ruiko Muto lebt in der japanischen Provinz Fukushima und ist somit selbst Betroffene der verheerenden Atomkatastrophe vom 11. März 2011. Sie organisierte Bürgerbeschwerden und wurde 2012 Leiterin der „Beschwerdegruppe für die strafrechtliche Verfolgung der Atomkatastrophe von Fukushima“, die auch 14 Jahre nach dem Super-GAU mit viel Geduld und Beharrlichkeit darauf hinarbeitet, dass die Verantwortlichen vor Gericht zur Rechenschaft gezogen werden. Darüber hinaus engagiert sich Ruiko Muto in Gruppen, die sich mit den Bedürfnissen von Evakuierten, der Entsorgung von kontaminiertem Wasser sowie mit Kindern und gesundheitlichen Auswirkungen befassen, darunter eine Stiftung für Kinder mit Schilddrüsenkrebs. Sie ist die Autorin zahlreicher Artikel und zweier Bücher.
